The Methow Conservancy, a nonprofit land trust based in the beautiful Methow Valley of North Central Washington State, has become just that for me. Anyone who has spent time in this magnificent part of the state will rave about the beautiful landscape, wildlife habitat, endless sports trails and the wonderful locals.

Last week, admirers of the valley were invited to a special social gathering and art auction at the offices of Johnson Architects on the northern edge of Lake Union. The auction featured a mixed-media show, inspired by conservation easements in the Methow Valley. A variety of gifted valley artists -Sean McCabe, Laurie Fry, Mary Powell and Bruce Morrison to mention a few-donated their inspired work to benefit the cause.
The evening was shared with friends and kindred spirits, and resulted in new homes for all of the creations featured at the auction.
