GA Creative Develops Brand to Drive Major Gifts Campaign

GA Creative, an integrated branding and advertising agency, recently completed fundraising campaign materials for the collaboration between the Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) and the Swedish Neuroscience Institute. GA developed the campaign brand, producing the "Hope Today, Healing Tomorrow" major gifts brochure and folder to encourage funding for research and clinical trials on the treatment and cure of brain cancer. The fact-based message tells an important story about brain cancer survival rates today, and what they will be in the future with the help of funding for two proven organizations in biomedical research and healthcare delivery.

"With millions of dollars needed to continue vital research and treatment of brain cancer, a compelling story was needed," says Marlice Gulacsik, GA principal. "These materials unveil in a crisp, clear way the information that is most critical to the decision of donors."

About the Hope Today, Healing Tomorrow Campaign

Together, the Swedish Neuroscience Institute and ISB are directly tackling one of the deadliest cancers known to mankind, providing the promise of the most advanced treatments available today and the hope of a cure tomorrow. And while patients in the Northwest will benefit most directly from this campaign, the research, diagnostic tools and treatments developed will benefit glioblastoma patients (representing 52% of all brain cancers) and their families around the globe. As a collaborative team, ISB and Swedish hope to more than double the life expectancy of brain cancer patients within the next five years. The ultimate goal of this campaign is to give all brain cancer patients a strong chance at a long and healthy life within the next ten years.

About the Institute for Systems Biology

The Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) is an internationally renowned, non-profit research institute headquartered in Seattle and dedicated to the study and application of systems biology. Founded by Leroy Hood, Alan Aderem and Ruedi Aebersold, ISB seeks to unravel the mysteries of human biology and identify strategies for predicting and preventing diseases such as cancer, diabetes and AIDS. ISB´s approach integrates biology, computation and technological development, enabling scientists to analyze all elements in a biological system rather than one gene or protein at a time. For more information about ISB, visit www.systemsbiology.org.

About the Swedish Neuroscience Institute

The Swedish Neuroscience Institute (SNI) groups neurologists, neurosurgeons and subspecialists together to lead a major expansion of neuroscience services at the Swedish Cherry Hill campus in Seattle, and throughout the Swedish health system. New neurosurgical operating rooms and interventional suites are among the most progressive in the country - making Swedish/Cherry Hill the region's leading health-care facility for neurological care. Through medical expertise, advanced technology, state-of-the-art facilities and leading-edge research, SNI is highly committed to the diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases and disorders.  www.swedish.org.
